The weekend prior to Thanksgiving was the perfect time to workshop some of our favorite family dishes. My dad and I prepared a quiet sunday dinner together: stir fried eggs and green beans, an aromatic dish of leafy greens, and a lotus root and fish patty that accompanies rice perfectly. As delicious as the meal was, spending an evening with my dad in the kitchen was even better.

stirred together in a pan, these egg and green beans complement rice perfectly. the eggs are fluffy and the incorporated green beans are crunchy. while my dad works on the rest of the dishes in the kitchen, i give the pan of eggs and green beans a stir with the spatula.
