The weekend prior to Thanksgiving was the perfect time to workshop some of our favorite family dishes. My dad and I prepared a quiet sunday dinner together: stir fried eggs and green beans, an aromatic dish of leafy greens, and a lotus root and fish patty that accompanies rice perfectly. As delicious as the meal was, spending an evening with my dad in the kitchen was even better.

to bring some greens to the dinner table, the leafy vegetables are cooked with a little bit of garlic to boost the flavor. these vegetables have a nice crunch to them and pair nicely with the rest of the dishes.
